Register for the 2023 Season

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

DATES: October 3-November 4

DAYS/TIMES: Practices are on Tuesday and Thursday each week. Practice starts at 4:15 p.m. and will be complete at 5:30 p.m. 

PRACTICE LOCATIONS

Our common meeting location is Centennial Park, and any changes will be communicated – we also periodically meet at other locations like Spring Meadow Lake State Park, South Hills Disc Golf Course, and Vigilante Stadium.

WHO?

XC is for athletes ages 7-18. All scholastic athletes must complete their middle school or high school season before joining practices.

COST

Season fees for the 2022 season are $50 and includes meet fees for the USATF Montana Junior Olympic Championships. Additionally a USATF membership is required and costs $31.80 annually, available at www.usatf.org.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

  • Coaching at two practice sessions per week beginning October 3 and continuing through November 2. 
  • State Junior Olympic Meet Registration Fee (Nov. 4, Helena)
  • National Junior Olympic Meet Registration Fee
  • Season-long use of a team singlet/jersey for competition

  • 7-8: 2,000 meters
  • 9-10: 3,000 meters
  • 11-12: 3,000 meters
  • 13-14: 4,000 meters
  • 15-16: 5,000 meters
  • 17-18: 5,000 meters
NOTE: Ages are based on the current year. Example: If an athlete turns 11 at any time during the current year- Jan. 1-Dec. 31 – they compete in the 11-12 age division.
  • Saturday, October 28: Montana Cup – 5K, Missoula, Zinn Ranch, Helena
  • Saturday, November 4: Montana Junior Olympic Championships – Various Distances, Helena
  • Saturday, November 11: Nike Cross Regionals – Middle School 3K, Boise, Eagle Island State Park
  • Saturday, December 9: National Junior Olympic Championships, Various Distances, Louisville, KY
