As a group, we coordinate several races in the Helena area every year, and also organize Helena’s men’s and women’s teams for the Montana Cup.

|HEAT Meet||June 5th from 1-3 PM||Track Meet||The Fourth Annual Helena Elementary Area Track (HEAT) Meet will take place at Vigilante Stadium on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 1-3 PM. This FREE competition is for youngsters grades 3-5. Events include:

|Vig Scrimmage||May 24th & August 23rd at 12:15 PM||1 Mile||The Vig Scrimmage is a team time trial which takes place once or twice a year at Vigilante Stadium. It divides the Tuesday-at-Noon track group into two teams (using various, creative criteria), which battle for bragging rights in a 1 mile run.|
|Augúst Road Race||August 18th at 7:15 PM||3.8 Miles||50th Augúst Road Race, Montana’s Second Oldest Footrace
Point-to-point fast course (mostly dirt road). Starts at the intersection of Head Ln. and Country Club Ave. $5 entry fee. Race day registration only (opens at 6:30 PM, near the starting line). 100% of race proceeds go to Helena youth cross-country programs. This is the ultimate, minimalist, no frills race — who needs t-shirts, numbers, awards, or door prizes, when you can have fast times, friendly volunteers, and a warm feeling for supporting a worthy cause?

|Mount Helena Run||Sept 10th at 10:00 AM||5.6 Miles||This 5.6 mile course starts on historic Last Chance Gulch in downtown Helena. It quickly changes from urban running to mountain trail running in Mt. Helena City Park. The course takes runners to the top of Mt. Helena, 1,300 feet above the starting line, and offers outstanding views of the City of Helena, Prickly Pear Valley, and Elkhorn and Belt Mountains. The course then descends back to the finish area on Last Chance Gulch.|
|Helena Sun Run||September 17th||5k & 1 Mile||This 5k event starts and ends at the Lewis & Clark Library in downtown Helena. The event is a fundraiser for solar panels for the library. Come down and enjoy this celebration of clean energy!|
|Montana Cup||Oct 29th at 12:00 PM||5k – 8k||A cross-country event on a new and unique course every year, rotating around the state. All courses are between 5k and 8k. This is a team event which brings together runners from seven regions, associated with Montana’s seven largest cities. Runners compete for individual places, and also for traveling team trophies — the “Montana Cup” and the “Masters Cup”.|
