As a group, we coordinate several races in the Helena area every year, and also organize Helena’s men’s and women’s teams for the Montana Cup.

|Vig Scrimmage||July 10, 2018 at 12:15 PM||1 Mile||The Vig Scrimmage is a team time trial which takes place once or twice a year at Vigilante Stadium. It divides the Tuesday-at-Noon track group into two teams (using various, creative criteria), which battle for bragging rights in a 1 mile run.|
|Augúst Road Race||August 16, 2018 at 7:00 PM||5k||51st running of “The Augúst – Montana’s Second Oldest Footrace.” 5k trail run (mostly dirt). Starts at 7:00 PM at Spring Meadow Resources Pavilion (2850 Broadwater Ave). Race day registration only (opens at 6:15 PM). $10 entry fee. Fundraiser for local high school cross-country teams. This is the ultimate, minimalist, no frills race — who needs t-shirts, numbers, awards, or door prizes, when you can have fast times, accurate results, friendly volunteers, loads of tradition, and a warm feeling for supporting a worthy cause?

|Mount Helena Run||Sept 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM||5.6 Miles||This 5.6 mile course starts on historic Last Chance Gulch in downtown Helena. It quickly changes from urban running to mountain trail running in Mt. Helena City Park. The course takes runners to the top of Mt. Helena, 1,300 feet above the starting line, and offers outstanding views of the City of Helena, Prickly Pear Valley, and Elkhorn and Belt Mountains. The course then descends back to the finish area on Last Chance Gulch.|
|Helena Sun Run||October 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM||5k & 1 Mile||A 5 kilometer run and 1 mile walk and bicycle parade around Centennial Park and across the scenic Carroll College campus to support clean energy and awareness of climate solutions in Montana’s capital. All funds raised devoted to purchase a solar photovoltaic array for Carroll College.|
|Montana Cup||October 27, 2018 at 12:00 PM||5k – 8k||A cross-country event on a new and unique course every year, rotating around the state. All courses are between 5k and 8k. This is a team event which brings together runners from seven regions, associated with Montana’s seven largest cities. Runners compete for individual places, and also for traveling team trophies — the “Montana Cup” and the “Masters Cup”.|
